Tianjin Armorus Textiles Co., Ltd. supplies body armors made of two types of industrial fiber: Aramid fiber and Polyethylene fiber. Since imported Aramid fiber is currently not sufficiently competitively available from oversea manufacturers, we are using a domestic advanced fiber - High Tenacity High Modulus Polyethylene fiber for our body armoring products.

High Tenacity High Modulus Polyethylene fiber, also called the Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber, is a kind of high-tech high performance fiber developed in the last decades. Compared with the other two high technology fibers currently in the world (carbon fiber and Armaid fiber), UHMWPE fiber has the highest tenacity because of its high molecular weight, high interlinking, high degree of orientation and high Crystallionity. Its tenacity is 15 times that of good quality steel and 10 times that of general chemical fibers; this fiber is also characterized as low density, high modulus, UV resistance, corrosion resistance, anti-impact and anti-incision, etc. It is currently very popular in its use for national defense weaponry, such as bulletproof vest, bulletproof helmet, armor plate, stab-proof vest, etc. Other widespread applications are composite material for aviation and ocean shipping, rope for navy vessels, tow nets for ocean halieutics, sports equipment, construction reinforcement material, etc. Shown below are the properties contrasts of polyethylene fiber with other industrial fibers.
